IBM N2225 and N2226 SAS/SATA HBAs Supporting HSSs and SSDs, for System x
Coming from LSI
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 6, 2014 at 2:45 pmThe N-Series family of SAS/SATA HBAs for IBM System x provide solutions for all servers requiring fast data transfer in storage connectivity for backup and mission-critical applications. These HBAs provide support for SAS and SATA HDDs and SSDs.
They offer low-cost, high-performance HBAs for high-performance connectivity between System x servers and external storage JBOD, tape, and RAIDed units.
The N2225 and N2226 SAS/SATA HBAs utilize 12Gb SAS and eight lanes of PCIe 3.0 to eliminate data bottlenecks and provide high data transfer rates for medium- to large-capacity server storage applications. The N2225 provides two (x4) external mini-SAS HD connectors with eight lanes of 12 Gbps SAS. The N2226 provides four (x4) external mini-SAS HD connectors with sixteen lanes of 12 Gbps SAS.
They are covered under IBM warranty. All adapters and upgrade modules carry a one-year limited warranty or, when installed in a System x server, assume your system’s base warranty and any IBM ServicePac upgrade.
