Cardwave Releasing 64GB SafeToGo USB 3.0 Flash Key

Hardware encrypted drive co-developed with BlockMaster

Cardwave Services Ltd will announce its 64GB SafeToGo USB 3.0 flash drive at Infosecurity 2014, Europe’s largest security show, on the 29th April – 1 May at Earls Court in London, UK.

It is already available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. Advance orders for the 64GB version are now being taken with shipments expected to begin in June 2014 to customers. Attendees at the show will get a chance to win a 64GB drive by entering a draw on the stand.

The solution is a hardware encrypted drive that has been co-developed with BlockMaster. It protects personal and confidential data and it can be managed through the BlockMaster SafeConsole Secure USB Management Server, giving administrators control over specific features that help manage and secure data.

In 2013 the cost of lost or stolen information rose again with the average cost to a business suffering a data breach, £2.04 million, up from £1.75 million in the previous year.

Paul Norbury commented: “It has become commonplace to read about serious data losses as unencrypted USB devices are mislaid by employees, and organisations are exposed not only to commercially damaging information leaks, but significant fines that can be many thousands of pounds. Our stand will feature various products which will address security needs for government to commercial organisations.

Alongside the product, the company will also be highlighting its other security products including SafeAXS – a mobile password manager. It will also be joined on the stand by partner SecureDrives to promote self encrypting SSDs.
