RapidSwitch Offers 6TB HDDs in UK

Dedicated server company RapidSwitch (part of cloud company iomart Group plc) is an UK hosting company offering the new range of high capacity HDDs coming onto the market to support the enterprise storage needs of customers.

The HDDs which come in 5TB and 6TB sizes are the latest development in HDD storage, giving customers increased storage densities for their hosted platforms.

The range of high capacity HHDs available from RapidSwitch include the helium-filled Ultrastar He6 from Western Digital, which was the first 6TB model to be released, and the recently announced Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD v4 which is aimed at cloud-based data centres where near-line storage is king.
