StorageRep Representative of Lucid Technology

Lucid Technology, Inc., a provider of NAS/SAN unified storage solutions, announced the appointment of StorageRep LLC as a worldwide manufacturing representative for the video market.

StorageRep will promote all LucidNAS products to resellers and integrators serving the corporate video, film, television, and post-production industries.

The LucidNAS allows customers to make the transition to a lower cost NAS/SAN shared storage environment using any commodity 64-bit Intel or AMD server. It provides video workgroups with fast, scalable, reliable, and cost effective storage. The product also removes the complexity of the files ystem and volume management with automated policies that reduce storage administration.

The video market represents data-intensive applications including computer graphics, streaming, editing, and content creation. The LucidNAS is well-suited for Adobe Creative Suite, Avid Pro Tools, Apple Final Cut Pro 7, Apple Final Cut Pro X, and others. Multiple editors can access a hybrid storage pool that combines DRAM, SSDs, and spinning HDDs in order to speed up workflow completion time and overall project management.

LucidNAS provides customers with cost reductions and increased productivity by offering affordable, performance access to networked storage.
