TeamViewer airbackup: Cloud Backup Solution for Businesses
Starts €59 or €129 with 250GB and 500GB
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 11, 2014 at 2:30 pmTeamViewer Gmb announced an extension to its product portfolio: airbackup, a cloud-based backup solution, supports organizations with safeguarding their business data without the use of an on-premise backup infrastructure.
The solution is made for safety while enabling backup automation. During the trial period it is free of charge.
It comes with 256 bit AES encryption security, works with a private key users generate during the set-up process to ensure that the data is protected from unauthorized access at any time. All data is locally encrypted before the data transfer so that no one, not even the support professionals, can access it.
The BackupBoost technology supplies maximum compression. Prior to each backup, it compresses the data to a minimum of its original size and identifies duplicate data blocks, which do not have to be backed up. Within milliseconds, it recognizes the data that has been modified since the last backup so that only the altered data blocks will be transferred. All of this provides for a faster transfer to the external data center.
After downloading the client, users set up their backup routine and determine the reports they want to receive. By the help of the web based airbackup manager, organizations can control their backed up devices and group them according to their needs. As a cloud-based solution, it provides users with the comfort of a dependable restore from anywhere at any time. Furthermore, it mitigates the risk of losing data from local breakdowns or natural catastrophes.
“We felt that many backup solutions in market left quite a number of questions unanswered which is why we designed airbackup,” comments Holger Felgner, GM, TeamViewer. “airbackup supports organizations in setting up a viable BC and DR strategy, while relieving their IT budgets considerably. Apart from our BackupBoost technology airbackup users can benefit from the typical cloud advantages while performing targeted backups which do not interfere with their daily operations.“
