CloudBacko Releases Beta Server Backup Software

Backuping physical and virtual servers to S3, Google and local storage.

With the booming size of data and the ways in which it is being harnessed and used by businesses, IBM Corp. predict 4.4 million jobs in big data wrangling by 2017.

This means more people than ever require cloud storage to backup in the scale of information, and CloudBacko Corp. is offering software that will be effective in achieving this for both businesses and individual users.

Public cloud storage vendors like Amazon S3 and Google cloud storage offer affordable and scalable cloud storage for businesses, but businesses still need to manage several servers and accounts to backup all the data on their servers. The company created an automated, fast and secure tool to help them.

It announced the release of its beta backup software. The software has a list of features, and supports the automated encrypted and compressed cloud backup of VMware, Hyper-V, Exchange Server, SQL server, and many common business applications to the cloud, including Oracle Database, MySQL, IBM Lotus Domino, IBM Lotus Notes, Windows System and Windows System State. Furthermore, the command line tool allows businesses to add other applications, creating unified backup software for all servers.

With NSA controversies still in the public eye, the company offers encryption with a randomized 256-bit key to prevent anyone from even seeing file or folder names, meaning security will never be an issue.

The software also supports backup to all AWS API compatible storage, Dropbox, China Telecom eYun, businesses’ own FTP/SFTP sites, as well as local or mapped network drives, and offers concurrent backup to keep information in multiple destinations, insulating businesses from the disruption that can be caused by catastrophic failure at any one backup source.

A spokesperson for CloudBacko explained: “We are proud to offer this beta to those businesses agile enough to be early adopters of a game changing new software, which will help businesses manage big data in the most flexible and supportive way possible. The software has been designed with the future in mind, so we can only see its popularity growing as more and more businesses understand the value of this kind of flexible cloud storage management solution. Businesses or individuals can download the free trial now to find out for themselves what a difference it can make.
