Gridstore in UK to Recruit VARs and MSPs

Expanding into EMEA market

Gridstore, Inc. is launching in the UK as part of its expansion into the EMEA markets.

As a 100% channel-driven company, Gridstore will sell their products exclusively through a selective network of VARs and MSPs that have the virtualization, Windows and technical skills necessary to deliver IT solutions for the data center to mid-size enterprise organizations.

Gridstore CEO, George Symons explains: “As an established leading US provider of software-defined storage, bringing our innovative offerings to EMEA is the natural next step for Gridstore. With a strong and dedicated executive team, we are in a position to make a great impact on the IT and storage marketplace.

Gridstore offers software-defined storage optimized for Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012, and also backup and recovery. Gridstore 3.0 has been designed to accelerate applications in virtual environments. Unlike traditional one-size-fits-all storage, it uses patented Server-Side Virtual Controller Technology (SVCT ) to eliminate the I/O blender effect and optimize for each VM to accelerate application I/O.

Designed to meet the storage virtualization challenges faced by mid-sized enterprises, Gridstore 3.0 is available in hybrid and capacity models, providing the solution for optimizing virtualized application performance.

Gridstore 3.0 delivers improved application performance and TrueQoS in a pay-as-you-scale format. Easy to manage, solutions fit into the Windows architecture appearing like local HDDs to the OS. It is a storage solution for performance in terms of hybrid caching, and also capacity storage challenges.

Headquartered in Mountain View CA, Gridstore uses SVCT to deliver vmOptimized, offering self-optimization to each application across both virtual and physical environments. Gridstore 3.0 has been met with acceptance with 100% of its beta customers converting to purchase with the majority experiencing greater application acceleration than anticipated and improved ease-of-install and management.

Symons continues: “In 2014, we believe that software-defined storage will go from being a nebulous buzzword to becoming a reality for many organisations and we’re glad to be in a position to offer solutions to meet this demand in the US and now also in the UK. We have seen great success in the US and believe it is the right time to expand into other markets. It feels like the right time to target the UK, and there is, undoubtedly a real opportunity here for us to exploit key gaps in the current market offerings.
