SolidFire Extends VDI Market Reach
With Citrix Ready Verification
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 20, 2014 at 2:53 pmSolidFire, Inc. announced that their products have been verified as Citrix Ready for Citrix XenDesktop.
This verification with the solution for virtual desktop delivery ensures customers that SolidFire haspassed a series of tests established by Citrix, and can be trusted to work with XenDesktop in order to keep pace with the storage demands of VDI environments.
The Citrix Ready program makes it for customers to identify complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix environments. SolidFire completed a verification process to ensure compatibility with XenDesktop, providing confidence in joint solution compatibility.
SolidFire’s scale-out block storage system, with granular QoS controls, is suited to harness the mixed and unpredictable workload profiles that exist in virtual desktop environments. SolidFire’s ability to guarantee storage performance, dynamically adjust storage resources on the fly without hardware reconfiguration, and its linear and non-disruptive scale translate to user experience and infrastructure cost benefits throughout the lifecycle of a XenDesktop deployment.
“As a member of the Citrix Ready program, we offer innovative solutions that combine SolidFire with XenDesktop to drastically improve the economics of the storage infrastructure needed to ensure a successful VDI buildout from start to scale,” said Dave Cahill, director of strategic Alliances, SolidFire. “This verification clearly demonstrates our intent to provide the highest quality storage experience for our customers’ VDI.“
