Pogoplug Offer Sprint Customers 5GB of Free Cloud Storage

Sprint Corporation is working with Pogoplug (Cloud Engines, Inc.) to add unlimited cloud storage to its suite of unlimited services.

Sprint customers can access 5GB of cloud storage for no additional charge through Pogoplug, with the option to upgrade to unlimited storage for $4.99 per month.

Beginning Jan. 27, iPhone and Android users can download Pogoplug to their device, giving them one place to store and organize photos, videos, music and more. With the service, customers can backup content, access their files from any Web-enabled device, and migrate or switch devices, without losing any content.

All smartphone customers will receive 5GB of cloud storage for no additional charge, or they may upgrade to unlimited storage for $4.99 per month, which will be added to their monthly bill. Pogoplug can be downloaded from Sprint Zone, the Apple App Store or Google Play.

The cloud offering provides customers savings when compared to competitors’ capped storage and data plans. By comparison, AT&T only offers up to 5GB of free storage and Verizon customers only get 125GB of storage for around $120 per year – which could incur additional data fees if the customer is on a capped plan.
