Unexpected SP Panic on New EMC VNX2 Every 80 Days

On a page concerning EMC² VNX VNXe Support, Bull, distributor of EMC, wrote:

URGENT : Unexpected SP panic on new VNX2 every 80 days.

The EMC note ETA1756199 , warns for a logic issue not still corrected.

The boths SP may reboot every 80 days and cause a data lost access.

Until the issue is fixed in a future release, the workaround must be applied by customer :

• Reboot SPA
• Waits 30 min
• Reboot SPB

The SP reboot can be made from Unisphere in the menu “System” -> “Storage Hardware”

Right clic on the SP and select “Reboot”
