ATP Electronics Adding Industrial Grade Embedded SLC eUSBS and CF Cards
Featuring firmware against sudden power loss
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 17, 2014 at 3:02 pmATP Electronics, Inc. released its eUSBs and CF cards.
Both products utilize SLC flash with performance, endurance and temperature ranges. They feature firmware technologies to protect against constant power-down situations and have passed thousands of power cycles during product qualification phases.
The eUSB products are equipped with SLC flash, which allow for more than thirty times program/erase life cycles over other MLC based eUSBs on the market. The read and write speeds at 30MB/s demonstrate the performance.
The design is for industrial customers such as telecom, industrial automation and networking applications. With SLC flash and power-cycling qualified firmware, it is the product for boot-up, or backup devices during sudden power down scenarios.
The ATP CF 6.0 compliant SLC CF card is a standout product over other CF 4.1 or 5.0 compliant industrial CF cards.
It features a set of commands, such as ‘sanitize’ for secure-erase before re-use, and TRIM which offers increased write consistency.
The UDMA-7 mode of a CF 6.0 card can also enable a faster performance.
Moreover, the cards come with an up to 72-bit/KB error correct mechanism, static data refresh and a bad-block early retirement feature to tackle write-intensive industrial scenarios, maximizing product program/erase life cycles and data retention times.
