iomart Group plc, supplier of business critical hosted cloud services, is offering a rescue package to Symantec customers affected by the American company’s decision to shut down its Backup Exec.cloud service.

The firm, which provides cloud backup to customers across the public and private sector, is offering free migration and a 60 day free service, subject to signing up to a minimum 12 month contract, to its EMC Avamar-powered enterprise platform.
