Nero BackItUp 2014, Local and Cloud Backup Solution

Nero Ltd. launched BackItUp 2014, a new approach to backing up content from PCs, Android tablets and smartphones to both local disks and a personal online drive.

With 18 years of content backup experience, the company combines an online drive and automatic offline backup in one suite.

“I find it frightening that, today, virtually all PC and mobile users painstakingly protect themselves from malware, Trojans or phishing attacks – but only about 15% of users regularly backup their data. 35% of PC users have never run a backup in the first place,” said Jürgen Kurz, Nero’s CEO. “With our new suite and its new usability concept, we wanted to make sure that our users never have to worry about a lost smartphone, a total HDD failure – or a flash flood for that matter! The software comes as a free backup starter package (manual backup suite plus 5GB online drive) or a one-year subscription which includes a backup software and an online drive with infinite disk space. The suite and online drive support Windows PCs, laptops and ultrabooks and Android devices, with iOS or Windows Phone 8 apps coming soon.

The ‘Unlimited PRO’ package includes:

Automatic and scheduled local PC backup of your content to 4 local targets: USB drives, built-in HDDs, NAS and DVDs/Blu-rays.

Android backup: Photos, videos, music, contacts, call logs, messages and system settings can be stored on SD cards, on PCs (via Wi-Fi) or your online drive.

Infinite online drive: No matter if you want to store 50GB, 500GB, 50TB or more – Nero will not cut off its users or limit their traffic.
