Innodisk Achieves ISO 14064-1 Certification
For reducing carbon emissions with SSDs
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 13, 2013 at 3:01 pmInnodisk Corporation, designer and manufacturer of SSDs for industrial and embedded applications, announces that it has attained ISO 14064-1 certification, demonstrating the company’s dedication to social responsibility and the reduction of companywide carbon emissions.
With the formal award of the ISO 14064-1 certification on November, 2013, Innodisk takes a step forward in environmental awareness.
It has long followed environmentally responsible policies, both in its product range of energy-saving, low-maintenance storage devices, and in its administrative and manufacturing operations.
Upon attaining the ISO 14064-1 certification, Randy Chien, president, Innodisk, said: “Innodisk is now ready to commit itself to a carbon footprint reduction target. The company’s goal is to reduce carbon emissions by 10% within two years.”
The ISO 14064-1 certification shapes internal policy for the design, development, management, reporting and verification of Innodisk’s greenhouse gas emissions. The certification ensures standards for the measurement and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions across the organization. This lays the foundation for the company to set targets and reduce emissions in a meaningful way, and to enhance corporate responsibility still further. ISO 14064-1 is developed and maintained by the International Organization for Standardization.
