To bring cloud to Virginia
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 12, 2013 at 2:53 pmXtium, Inc., an enterprise software in managed cloud hosting, online backup and virtual DR services, announced that Pivotal Technologies Group, a MSP in Richmond, VA, has joined its partner program.
Through the relationship, Pivotal will offer Xtium’s next-generation cloud-based solutions ranging from online and disk-based backup to fully-managed application and desktop hosting solutions.
“I saw value in Xtium’s approach and overall platform of cloud services,” said Jim Law, president, Pivotal. “The partnership providers a higher value to my customer base than independent service offerings from a number of different service providers. Xtium enables me to offer technology as fully-managed solutions to my customers.”
So far Pivotal has two customers utilizing Xtium’s services, including Barnes & Diehl, the largest family law practice in Virginia. Barnes & Diehl employees can now access their desktops in the courtroom or on the go, which has completely changed the way they do business.
“Xtium and Pivotal have come together for a common goal: to offer enterprise technology via the cloud that allows customers to be both efficient and more competitive in their own business as a result of using our platform,” said Law. “Xtium is a true partner that offers excellent customer service, support and product feedback, while valuing my feedback as well. What I bring to my customers is something that I’m proud of. This is a win for Xtium, Pivotal and the customer.”
Xtium and Pivotal are co-hosting an upcoming event to discuss real life stories of cloud selection and implementation with the Richmond-area business community: Cloud Tales: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly – November 21.
Xtium and Pivotal will host an educational event at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Richmond, VA, November 21. Attendees will learn about leveraging cloud for business agility, including moving data, applications, desktops and everything in between to the cloud.
