Deborah Phillips VP Marcom, Cleversafe
Joins from Cisco where she was director partner marketing.

Phillips joins Cleversafe from Cisco Systems and brings more than 30 years of experience leading strategic marketing programs.
She will report to John Morris, CEO of Cleversafe.

Cleversafe’s growth has accelerated in 2013 with the appointment of Morris as CEO in May, new customer engagements around the world, and an increasing IP portfolio in support of its Dispersed Storage technology to more than 105 US patents awarded.
Cleversafe closed a $55 million round of equity funding in August, enabling the company to extend its rapid growth, expand into new market segments, and build its talent base across all functional areas.
Phillips has more than 30 years of experience in global marketing, business and new product development and a track record of achieving measurable impact in highly competitive technology markets. Most recently, she held marketing leadership roles at Cisco Systems where in her last role as director partner marketing and led the development and execution of public sector marketing strategies and programs that delivered over $500M in revenue and strengthened customer and partner relationships. She has also held executive positions at Motorola Solutions, Inc., AT&T and Hewlett-Packard.
