Fusion-io VMware Ready

Fusion-io, Inc. announced that its ION Data Accelerator and ioControl hybrid storage solutions have achieved VMware Ready status.

This designation indicates that after a validation process, the ION Data Accelerator 1.3.0 and ioControl 2.0 hybrid storage solutions have achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX).

“With Fusion-io shared flash solutions, like ioControl Hybrid Storage or ION Data Accelerator, integrated with vSphere, enterprises can virtualize even the most challenging, data intensive workloads,” said Afshin Daghi, Fusion-io VP of systems engineering. “By using Fusion ioMemory solutions for shared storage with vSphere 5.1, enterprises can eliminate the storage bottlenecks that can otherwise severely limit application performance.”
