This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 17, 2013 at 3:02 pmITsavvy, provider of integrated IT products and IT solutions in the US, has acquired Warren, NJ-based infrastructureWORKS (i-Works).
i-Works is an IT services and consulting company, specializing in solutions in areas of IT including storage, virtualization, networking, business intelligence and DR.
“The move is part of our aggressive growth by acquisition strategy,” explained Mike Theriault, ITsavvy’s president and CEO. “It will enhance our expertise in product lines that we already sell, such as Cisco, EMC, Riverbed and VMware. This acquisition also allows us to pick up new product lines that our clients are demanding, including Greenplum, Extreme Networks, and Infoblox.”
Clients of both companies will benefit from the services being offered by the integration of technical resources.
“From our perspective, the acquisition will accelerate growth and give our clients access to a larger set of resources-an expanded product portfolio and a broader service bench. It will also extend our geographic reach for our clients with a national presence,” said Jeff Greenberg, i-Works’ MD.
i-Works leverages an understanding of datacenter infrastructure technology to provide a range of solutions encompassing a variety of information technology needs. In addition to IT infrastructure, staff engineers have expertise in areas including data analytics and business intelligence. i-Works provides consulting engagements tailored to the individual client’s needs, from environment assessment and strategic planning, to complete datacenter migrations and IT staffing.
“The acquisition of i-Works will expand our technical depth in big data, storage, backup, virtualization and networking,” Theriault said. “Our Northeast clients can now receive in-person technical support and our entire national client base can source even more products from us now.”
i-Works serves U.S. and international private and public sector clients across numerous industries, anywhere from multi-billion dollar global pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies to smaller companies in retail and education. Like ITsavvy, i-Works takes builds long-term, advisor relationships with all clients and vendors.
“What will not change is the same superior service that i-Works and ITsavvy clients have experienced over the years,” Theriault said. “They can rest assured that their business will not be interrupted in any way; they will work with the same sales, technical, management and client service personnel. The i-Works ordering process will be improved, as clients will now be able to view order and invoice status online, and also receive automated order and shipping confirmations.”
Greenberg confirmed: “The only change that our current clients will notice is that we have even more capabilities than we had before,” he said. “But in terms of technical staffing and account management, our clients will be working with the same people that they’ve come to trust over the years.”
ITsavvy built its reputation as a VAR with product availability, design and implementation, client support and delivery speed through 46 distribution centers across the US.
