This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 2, 2013 at 2:40 pmMore Solutions Group, a storage-focused MSP and reseller committed to designing storage solutions for businesses, announced the launch of its core offerings.
Beginning immediately, businesses looking for assistance in developing storage and protection strategies may engage with More Solutions Group as a partner in the process.
Tom Gelson, an industry veteran and founder of storage-focused businesses More Solutions and More Group, will lead the new company, and brings talent and expertise.
Gelson is laying the success of his previous entries into the storage market as the foundation of the new organization. He promises More Solutions Group will work with businesses to unify their information security and infrastructure with storage to form solutions and make their data their most valued business asset, as opposed to a potential threat.
“I’m glad to be back in storage integration, an industry I’ve always thought of as my home in IT,” Gelson said. “I’m looking forward to reconnecting and reengaging with the customers I’ve collaborated with over the years, and I’m confident More Solutions Group will be a trusted partner to those organizations.”
More Solutions Group marks the fifth entry into the storage industry for Gelson, whose lengthy track record as a provider of enterprise IT solutions culminated in the sale of More Group Inc. to Forsythe Technology Group, Inc., an IT integrator, in 2008. More Group was selected as a Best Place to Work in 2007 by the Boston Business Journal.
After the Forsythe acquisition, Tom went on to found Vault USA, a managed service provider for cloud data backup and recovery. In 2006, dissatisfied with existing cloud backup and recovery software, He and Alex Stoev, his CTO, began developing an entirely new system. In 2010, upon completion of the Powered By Nine product, Nine Technology sold the Vault USA managed service practice to NextVault. In 2012, the technology that governed the Powered By Nine software was awarded a U.S. patent for its combination of block-level deduplication and encryption. Following the issuing of the patent, the technology was sold to Imation.
Tom started his career in the data storage industry at EMC. He graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. He also served for 5 years in the United States Coast Guard at search & rescue stations on the NJ coast and Governor’s Island, NY
Drawing upon the management team’s commitment to customer satisfaction, More Solutions Group will offer scalable storage solutions and expert support to customers. Gelson and his team have fostered relationships with many technology providers, and the team looks forward to passing on that expertise and breadth of industry knowledge to customers.
