Departure of Emulex CFO Mike Rockenbach

He joined company in 1991.

Emulex Corporation announced that Michael J. Rockenbach, the corporation’s EVP, CFO and corporate secretary, will be departing effective December 31, 2013.

The company will initiate a search for both internal and external candidates to fill the CFO position. In the interim, Rockenbach will continue as EVP, CFO, and corporate secretary of the company.

Rockenbach,Emulex Rockenbach joined Emulex in 1991, and has served as EVP and CFO since 1997. During his tenure, his contributions included driving several key financing transactions as well as the analysis and integration of strategic acquisitions. He was also instrumental in the company’s move from the NASDAQ to the NYSE in 2003. Prior to joining Emulex, his experience includes various manufacturing finance and financial planning positions at Western Digital Corporation.

Rockenbach holds bachelors’ degrees in both accounting and finance as well as a master’s degree in International Business from California State University, Fullerton.

During his tenure as CFO, he has established a highly skilled global finance team to meet the evolving needs of the company,” said Jeff Benck, president and CEO, Emulex. “The board and I would like to thank Mike for all of his contributions to the company’s success, as well as his continued support during this transition.
