This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 19, 2013 at 2:29 pmCorporate Backup, an Australian backup wholesaler, will release a new backup platform in October.
Christened Probax, it seeks to unite a range of backup technologies and is supposed to break down the barriers that have traditionally prevented service providers from delivering the best solution to a client.
Company director Kevin Allan said: "Anyone who wants to play in the IT game has to be totally vendor neutral now. Probax supports companies who are only interested in best-practice backups, and gives them a medium from which to deploy the best solution, and manage it all from one place."
"There is so much more involved here than just the Probax platform," said Kyle Walter, Corporate Backup. "With the new platform, we’re launching a totally new website that will generate end-user interest for our resellers. Nothing is more important to us than the ongoing success of our partners, and we will be leveraging a revised partnership model to ensure an even stronger customer base for our channel."
When pushed for an answer to the question: "Where to from here?" the company representatives point out a number of possibilities.
"Virtual technology is becoming such an important consideration now," said Allan. "We are developing solutions that integrate leading virtual backup platforms into the Probax Portal."
"A company in our position needs to be agile to meet the changing needs of our partners," said Walter. "We can’t be the limiting factor in a business’s DR strategy, thus we’ve set quarterly development milestones that will ensure we deliver an industry leading solution."
