Gordon joins the team on September 9th as COO and have responsibility over a wide set of operational functions. Gordon Winters (global services), Tracy Kellum (training) and Mike Knapick (IT) will all report to Barbara. Barbara’s industry experience spans multiple sales, services and business functions. She has spent the last 10 years at Microsoft leading large teams, and most recently led Microsoft’s 9,500 person global Customer Service and Support (CSS) organization. Before that, she was based in Paris where she managed Microsoft’s Enterprise & Partner Group Sales for EMEA. Prior to that, she hold multiple senior-level executive positions including leading worldwide sales teams for twenty years at companies such as AT&T, Digital Equipment and Sun Microsystems. Throughout her career, she has shown passion for delivering customer experience. She will be instrumental in helping to continue delivering a quality experience to customers, as well as identifying ways to improve those experiences, and build more long-term customer loyalty. She also has a track record of developing her employees and building strong teams.
Bullinger will join EMC Isilon on September 16th as SVP of engineering and operations.He recently worked at Oracle as SVP of storage where he was responsible for product planning and engineering for their SAN/NAS storage systems business. Prior that, he was the EVP and GM for the Engenio Storage Group, a division of LSI Corporation. His 25-year career in storage spans a number of engineering and management roles from silicon to system-level products. He holds five patents in the fields of storage technology and integrated circuit design, and has developed insight into storage industry technologies and trends. He is a visionary leader in the storage industry. Bill Shadle (pperations) and Tim Larson (hardware engineering) will matrix report to Phil. Core R&D will be consolidated under John Hayden, Isilon’s VP of engineering, who will report to Phil.
