SOS
Online Backup, an Infrascale
Inc. company, has released its
native SQL Server backup application to its IT channel resellers
and partners.
These advancements in backup and
recovery technology opens up market opportunities for its network of
partners by providing business data protection tools.
Advancing Backup Technology, Once
Again
SQL Server 2008 and 2012 backup has
been integrated into the backup application. The software detects the
presence of an SQL server, proceeding to display the server backup
option in a dropdown menu. This is an update for SOS Online Backup,
free to download by all partners. The addition of native SQL Server
backup comes after the company announced native Exchange backup for
its partners.
Unlimited Access to SQL, Exchange,
and File Server backup for Any MSP
The program has been built on
simplicity, security, and scalability. A core element that makes this
possible is pricing. SOS does not charge individually for backup for
any of these devices. All partners receive unlimited access to backup
for SQL Server 2008 and 2012, Exchange 2010, file servers, PCS, and
Macs as well as mobile endpoints.
"The idea of unlimited access
to backup of servers and devices has been central to our business
since its inception," said Ken Shaw, CEO,Infrascale. "Our
partners are busy. They don’t always have time to forecast or count
all of the devices within a business. Adding integrated SQL Server
backup for an unlimited number of servers is another way we can
support our partners’ businesses. We want them to grow without being
burdened by a pricing schedule that was created for accountants, not
IT consultants."
The SOS Partner Program
Earlier this year, SOS released a
multi-tenant dashboard for online backup distributors with downstream
resellers. SOS has also introduced private cloud online backup to its
partner program. The company’s aim is to develop an all-inclusive
partner program, which MSPs and IT resellers can view as a ‘toolbox’
of applications, controlled by a dashboard for centralized
management.
