Infortrend and Atto Join Forces

Infortrend Technology Inc. and ATTO Technology, Inc. have announced a
joint 16G FC storage solution that provides an easy to configure, flexible and
high-performance storage solution for workflows in the demanding
applications such as 4K ultra high definition (UHD) media editing and large
block streaming.

Moreover, with the wider bandwidth, the combination of ATTO HBAs and Infortrend
storage is a solution to meet the demands of
server and workstation-based applications seen in media and entertainment,
HPC, data centers and other performance-critical workflows.

Motion pictures and home media environments are increasingly employing
4K UHD. Infortrend’s 16G FC storage combined with ATTO’s Celerity 16G HBAs allow
users to edit multiple streams of 4K UHD simultaneously. This
storage solution powers high performance streaming media applications
that support increasing resolution and frame rate requirements. When coupled
with ATTO’s MultiPath Director technology, a solution to
connect both servers and workstations directly to enterprise storage, users are
provided with improved productivity while protecting their data.

16G FC HBAs provide performance, one-click
tuning for ensuring performance, compatibility and customized
driver support for meeting the demands of specialized applications. Infortrend
satisfies the demand for 16G FC storage and recently
started shipping a lineup of 16G FC solutions. Together, both Infortrend
and ATTO’s solutions provide a base on which to build a next-generation
16G FC infrastructure and users are encouraged to adopt the
16G technology to maximize the potential of their FC
networks. As a result, Infortrend prices the 16G FC storage identically to its
8G storage until August 31, 2013.
