A former Symantec engineering leader, Khanna will draw on his more than 15 years’ experience to build upon Quorum’s one-click backup, recovery and success, and drive new innovations in DR for small to mid-sized businesses.
Khanna’s hire is punctuated by the release of an upgrade to the company’ssolution, which pre-empts industry rivals in its support for Windows Server 2012, Exchange Server 2013 and SQL Server 2012, and includes more than 50 usability enhancements.
Over the course of his career, Khanna has gained experience in storing and protecting valuable business data. Most recently, he has focused exclusively on making data protection and analysis usable. He joins Quorum from Symantec, where he served as VP engineering and led product development for the company’s enterprise data protection products, NetBackup and backup appliances. Earlier in his career at Symantec, he incubated and grew cloud and purpose-built appliance products for backup and information management. Prior to Symantec, Khanna focused on product development, architecture and implementation at Nortel and Tata Consultancy Services.
Khanna’s addition to the executive team coincides with the release of the latest version of the Quorum solution, which features an innovative approach to DR with its one-click backup, recovery and continuity innovation. In the latest release, Quorum builds on these merits with support for Windows Server 2012, Exchange Server 2013 and SQL Server 2012, effectively broadening its reach to new customers. Fifty usability enhancements have been added, and focus on resiliency and performance for repository and data path.
Altogether, the upgrade delivers on Quorum’s promise to help businesses safeguard their revenue, customers and reputation with an easier-to-use, better-performing solution.
