Eastman Kodak Company has entered into
an agreement with Nimble Storage, Inc., provider of flash-optimized hybrid storage
solutions.
The agreement, effective May 2013, will allow Kodak to refer Nimble Storage
products and services to Kodak customers who are moving their systems to a
virtualized server environment. The agreement will initially launch as a pilot
program in the US with the opportunity to expand into other geographies.
Print service providers require solutions that provide flexible storage
capacity, data protection, and performance capabilities that can grow with
their workflow requirements-without resulting in higher in-house IT and labor
costs. Implementing a virtual infrastructure can help lower the cost of
traditional infrastructure, keeping critical applications optimized through
software, performance, and capacity upgrades.
"Kodak Prinergy Workflow and Kodak Insite solutions are critical production
applications for our customers," noted Kodak’s Jon Bracken, GM, unified workflow
solutions. "Nimble Storage meets their
requirements for virtualized server infrastructure, providing the confidence
and performance they need to maximize their operational efficiencies."
"Nimble Storage delivers affordable high performance, built-in efficient data
protection, seamless scaling, and ease of use," said Dan Leary, VP marketing,
Nimble Storage. "Nimble arrays are
optimized for deployment in a virtualized environment, giving customers a
measure of confidence as they move to virtualized servers for their
mission-critical applications and helping them maximize their storage ROI.
We’re pleased to work with Kodak for the benefit of our mutual customers."
