Atlantis Computing, Inc. and Devon IT, Inc. announced a partnership and joint solution to
decrease the cost of virtual desktops deployments, while delivering better than
PC performance.

The solution enables IT teams to deploy virtual desktops at scale with their
existing images and lowers the cost of Citrix XenApp virtualization migrations.
The solution supports enterprise HA and DR, automates deployments, and
simplifies the management of virtual desktops and thin client devices at scales
reaching tens of thousands of users.

According to Gartner, "storage is

(server-hosted virtual desktop or VDI) projects. Persistent storage is the

With traditional SAN/NAS storage and thin client devices, customers cannot
achieve the same level of performance as a PC without spending $1,000-$2,000
per user. Standard thin client acquisition and management costs drive up the
