Succeeding Dave Stevens

Chend was VP of routing, application delivery and software networking group at Brocade, responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and execution of the routing, application delivery and software businesses. He joined Brocade in 2008, through the company’s acquisition of Foundry Networks. During his 12-year tenure at Foundry, he held a variety of executive management positions. Prior to that, he served as COO and VP of engineering for DG Systems (now DG FastChannel), a content distribution network company that operates large network for media distribution. Cheng also held senior engineering management positions at Network Equipment Technologies (NET) and Bell Northern Research (later Nortel Labs).
He has a BS in Applied Mathematics from Queen’s University (Canada), an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a Certificate in Music from the Royal Academy of Music (England).
