Christopher Rocca VP Engineering, Hadapt

Hadapt, Inc., in data analytics platform natively integrating SQL with Apache Hadoop, has added Christopher Rocca to the executive management team as VP of engineering.

In this position, he will be responsible for leading the development of Hadapt’s Adaptive Analytical Platform.

"Christopher has spent the past 25 years building world-class engineering organizations in data management and data center infrastructure management," said Hadapt CEO Justin Borgman. "Adding Christopher to the team enables us to accelerate our product development activities and further solidifies our leadership position as the SQL-based analytical platform for Hadoop."

 Previously, Rocca was co-founder and VP of engineering at Viridity Software, where he led the development of EnergyCenter, the company’s innovative data center management solution. After being acquired by Schneider Electric in 2011, he led the development organization of Schneider’s Data Center Management Suite. Prior to Viridity, he was VP of engineering and director of development at Revivio, delivering a CDP storage appliance, which was acquired by Symantec. Earlier in his career, he was a principal engineer and senior engineering mnager at Motorola via the C-Port acquisition. Christopher began his career as a software engineer at Digital Equipment.
