Nexenta With Partner Area Data Achieves 1.6 Million IO/s

Nexenta
Systems Inc. with its partner Area
Data Systems Inc. achieved 1.6 million IO/s and HA
with no single point of failure.

Comparable solutions from proprietary
vendors cost more than this solution and cannot guarantee HA. With
the combination of Nexenta’s Software-defined Storage, NexentaStor,
and high-performance, all-flash hardware, there is an alternative to
meet the scalability demands of big data.

million IO/s milestone with a configuration of NexentaStor, dual Xeon E5-2643 3.3GHz processors, and DataON Storage‘s external
storage stack, DLS-16402.

Storage’s solution
is based on Nexenta-certified components:

DataON 24-bay 2U JBODs, LSI SAS HBAs and switches, and
STEC enterprise, SAS SSDs. The overall cost of Area Data
Systems active/active HA 9.6TB flash-based solid state solution is an
estimated $75,000.
