Kevin Deierling and Gilad Shainer VPs Marketing, Mellanox

Reporting to chairman and CEO Eyal Waldman

Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. announced the appointment of Kevin Deierling and promotion of Gilad Shainer to VPs of marketing.

Their responsibilities will include leading product development and management, expanding into new markets, launching products and building demand in the market, and developing and executing programs to promote the Mellanox brand.

They will report to Eyal Waldman, Mellanox’s president, CEO, and COB.

"Kevin and Gilad will lead our marketing efforts as we focus on building and enhancing the Mellanox brand, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities, and developing products that extend our reach and capabilities into the high-performance computing, Web 2.0, cloud, database, data center and storage markets. I wish Kevin and Gilad success in their new roles."

mellanox_deierling Deierling is a technology executive and has led technical and marketing efforts at multiple technology companies that focused on delivering breakthrough products for network search engine, HPC, data center, storage, wireless, video, and VoIP markets. Previously, he was chief architect at Silver Spring Networks. From 2005 to 2007, he was VP marketing and business development at Spans Logic. From 1999 to 2005, he was VP of product marketing at Mellanox. Deierling has contributed to multiple technology standards through organization including the IB Trade Association and PCI Industrial Manufacturing Group. He has over 20 patents and was a contributing author of a text on BiCmos design. He holds a BA in Solid State Physics from UC Berkeley.

mellano_shainer Shainer has served in a series of positions since joining Mellanox. Most recently, he was VP of market development from February 2012 to March 2013. He joined Mellanox in 2001 as a design engineer and later managed several hardware and software product developments. He later served in senior marketing management roles between July 2005 and February 2012. He also holds several patents in the field of high-speed networking and has contributed to the PCI-SIG PCI-X and PCIe specifications. He led the foundation of the HPC Advisory Council, a non-profit organization focused on high-performance computing outreach and education with more than 360 member companies, and has served as its chairman since 2008. Shainer holds a MSc degree (2001, Cum Laude) and a BSc degree (1998, Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel.
