French SGT OEM of Active Circle

SGT SAS and Active Circle SA have finalised an OEM
agreement that enables SGT to complete its workflow by adding archive
management as a new module in its VEDA suite of broadcast applications.

SGT is an European
software vendor in the broadcast and media industry, and Active Circle is a
developer of archiving and storage solutions for digital content.

Over the last 20 years, SGT has built a range of software in the broadcast industry, based on
two main product lines: media management and transmission management.

Customer
needs have evolved towards workflow automation, rich-media content management
and new distribution channels such as the Internet or mobile phones. In line
with this SGT has evolved its product lines by merging them into the VEDA
range: a single and modular end-to-end suite, based on a service-oriented
architecture.

Today customers expect complete and integrated systems that meet all business
needs, from ingest and content management to publishing and playout, including
handling the archive operations.

Responding to these developing needs, SGT
completes its offer and proposes VEDA Archive to store, archive and manage
large volumes of digital content. VEDA Archive combines the performance of VEDA
media management tools and the efficiency of the Active Circle technology, and
ensures the long-term preservation of digital content while maximising reuse.
VEDA Archive is the choice for organisations that have significant
audiovisual data assets and want to both secure and value these resources.

The integration of these complementary systems makes VEDA easier to use
and faster to install. This new feature allows VEDA to respond better to
