In SAN Application Accelerator SSD appliance named TurboCharger, the Sunnyvale, CA-based start-up GridIron was born in 2007 and receives $20 million in financial funding in 2009 with another round in 2011. It’s notably a NetApp partner. Could the acquirer be NetApp to get an all-SSD storage system?
In the staff of GridIron, we don’t see anymore a CEO. It was David Wright, formerly recently chairman and CEO of Verari Systems and previously EVP, office of the CEO, Strategic Alliances and Global Accounts at EMC after being CEO and chairman of Legato (acquired by by EMC).
