Barry Rudolph Board’s Director, VelociData

VelociData, Inc., the accelerated data integration appliance company, announced the addition of Barry Rudolph to the VelociData Board of Directors.

 Rudolph brings 35 years of senior leadership, most recently in IBM, to the VelociData board. As VP System Networking at IBM, he was responsible for all aspects of the system networking business including strategy, investments decisions, product portfolio, industry partnerships, routes to market and acquisitions. He developed a comprehensive strategy and executed tactical investments and the acquisition of Blade Network Technologies in October of 2010. Prior to this assignment, he was VP, Strategy and Stack Integration for IBM Storage, responsible for overall strategy, driving all decisions on portfolio investments for the storage business, and integrating with other areas including IBM’s Global Services and Software organizations. As VP System Storage for IBM, he spent the last decade responsible for every part of the storage business including the disk, NAS and elements of the software businesses, and the tape business. This included all of the product and market investments, routes to market definition, partnership development, and execution of all aspects of the P&L.

He also serves on the board of Dot Hill Systems, a public storage company.
