For capturing megapixel videos
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 30, 2012 at 2:47 pmQNAP Security announced that its VioStor network video recorder (NVR) products now support StarDot Technologies‘ NetCam IP cameras for capturing megapixel videos.
The integration of the StarDot IP cameras provides value to customers by giving them more visual data compared with traditional standard IP or CCTV cameras. The combination of StarDot and QNAP Security NVRs provides dependable video monitoring and storage, powerful megapixel processing power, and also the flexibility of an HDMI local-output interface, an alternative to traditional DVR and PC-based NVRs.
The QNAP VioStor NVR is a professional surveillance system, requiring no PC for surveillance monitoring and recording. It features hardware and software integration delivering performance in real-time video (with audio) monitoring and recording. StarDot’s IP cameras have earned a reputation for their megapixel (1.3, 3, and 5 megapixel) image quality, rugged all-weather design, ease of use, and 100% US engineered design. The QNAP VioStor NVRs provide a reliable surveillance solution for users of StarDot multi-megapixel IP cameras. They offer resolutions of up to 5 megapixels to facilitate critical identification of individuals, incidents, and even vehicle license plates, and to enable digital zoom. Video motion detection is integrated, along with an automatic day/night IR filter and analog video output for hybrid applications.
"QNAP Security is a recognized leader in video storage and monitoring solutions. The integration of our cameras with their NVR products has been smooth and successful," commented Andy Chan, StarDot’s VP. "We are thrilled by our new integration and partnership with QNAP. The combined HDMI local display and integrated multi-bay RAID storage effortlessly complements the video clarity of our megapixel cameras."
"We are very excited about our relationship with StarDot as we have already collaborated successfully on numerous projects with StarDot Technologies globally. We are proud to announce this tried-and-ready solution for deployment in the US surveillance market," said Shawn Chu, product manager of QNAP Security. "We have been working on expanding our IP camera compatibility list with reputed global brands, and this integration provides our users with more flexibility in selecting suitable IP cameras when deploying an IP surveillance system."
