Globanet Corp.,
a company specialized in solutions for archiving implementations,
data migrations and e-discovery, announced enhancements to its
Globanet
Migrate
software.
The product includes
functionality to support migrations from HP Mimosa Nearpoint for
Exchange to all available target systems, including Symantec’s
Enterprise Vault (EV) cloud.
Cients are able to
consolidate stored email data into EV and retire their previous
archiving systems – including Mimosa. Once consolidated, clients only
have to maintain the database containing their email correspondence
which is regulated by SEC compliance rules. It allows organizations
to migrate data from Mimosa into Symantec’s EV and enhances
enterprise vault’s functionality for companies already using it.
"Maintaining
legacy Mimosa Nearpoint archiving systems can be an expensive and
risky proposition for businesses,"
said Jackie Ervin, director of Product Management of Globanet.
"Migrate
relieves this problem with an affordable migration tool that
maintains chain of custody throughout the migration process."
With this product,
organizations can migrate TB of data in a matter of weeks. Migrate’s
cryptographic hashing during migrations ensures the chain of custody
and maintains the integrity of messages. In addition, Migrate
reassigns retention categories based on various criteria, including
age.
Migrate is developed
by Globanet to provide migration of data from a variety of
information sources into Symantec EV. It transfers email data from
several platforms such as Iron Mountain Email Management, Zantaz
Digital Safe, GFI MailArchiver, AXS-One (for DXL file migration),
Tumbleweed Communications and EMC (Legato) EmailXtender.
It has the ability
to migrate email archives into EV, migrate EV data across hardware,
migrate between different EV sites, re-process existing data archived
in earlier versions of EV allowing for cost savings on storage, and
repatriate email data from hosting providers.
Globanet
Migrate is available to assist in migration planning for current and prospective
customers looking to make the move from NearPoint to EV or EV cloud.
