announced it’s QuickCache
offering.
QuickCaches are centrally managed data caches that allow
geographically distributed businesses to manage bandwidth consumption
and decrease time-to-protection while backing up and protecting
laptop, desktop, and tablet data.

Used in conjunction with Datacastle
RED,
in remote locations it perform backup and global dedupe within minutes
of installation. Bandwidth can be managed by shifting uploads to
Datacastle RED vaults to off-peak times when network traffic is
lower. Network managers can improve network performance by
controlling when backups occur per location.
Deployment and management
is fast and easy because QuickCaches can be installed onto low-cost
NAS (SSD or HDD) or servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 or
Windows Storage Server 2008 R2. QuickCaches are designed for ‘lights
out’ operations and are centrally policy managed from the
Datacastle RED vault
