Vaultize
announced the availability of OS X support in its enterprise
backup,
sharing
and
mobility
solution.
It provides business users the ability to backup and
share the data on their Macs with people within as well as outside
their organization – and everything with IT control. Features like
folder sync and group sync now work across Mac and Windows devices.
"As enterprises and businesses are starting to embrace BYOD,
Mac has become an integral part of our strategy." says
Ankur Panchbudhe, CTO and co-founder of Vaultize. "More and
more companies are now looking to control and secure business
critical data on endpoints using and enterprise-grade solution like
Vaultize. Additionally, Vaultize is gaining popularity in enterprises
because of its secure file sharing under a centralized
administration and control, allowing enforcement of corporate
policies."
It is the first backup and sharing solution to do both encryption and
de-dupe together at source. While all solutions perform encryption at
the server, this encrypts data at source before it leaves the device
– making it the a secure backup and sharing solution.
The company offers deployment options. Businesses can choose from
Vaultize’s public cloud (hosted in Rackspace), private cloud (hosted
with any cloud provider of customer’s choice or on-premise) or ‘Cloud-in-a-box’ appliance. It is a
purpose-built backup and sharing appliance – a platform with a
combination of enterprise hardware and Vaultize cloud software.
Vaultize
announced support for Google Apps backup, providing a single platform to securely backup and
share business critical data on endpoints as well as Google Apps.
