Synnex Distributes Ctera in North America

CTERA Networks announced a collaboration with Synnex Corporation, a distributor of IT
products and services.

Synnex’ CONVERGESolv group offers to its reseller and MSP customers CTERA’s
all-in-one storage, backup and file sharing solutions that integrate
customer-premises managed appliances and software agents with secure cloud
storage through Synnex’ CLOUDSolv portal.

By partnering with Synnex, CTERA extends its reach and commitment to
the North America channel, providing new opportunities for resellers that seek
to offer cloud storage services while retaining the usability and speed of
traditional network storage solutions.

CTERA provides an entry into cloud storage, mitigating customers’ concerns
about cloud security and performance, by using a hybrid solution that delivers
LAN-speed access and end-to-end security. The solution includes
out-of-the-box NAS, backup, file collaboration, and mobile access. By
integrating all these functions into a single solution, CTERA reduces the
complexity and the cost of ownership compared to disparate file and backup
server products, for the limited budgets of SMBs.

With CTERA, resellers can offer a managed storage service they control and
brand. Each reseller receives access to its own management portal that allows
custom service plans, remote administration and central monitoring. Resellers
can have the choice of launching their offering based on the Synnex CLOUDSolv
portal or leverage their own datacenter for running their private cloud.
