VAR Dynamics Adds Personal Archiving for Exchange tp Portfolio

Dynamics
announced that it has added Personal Archiving for Exchange to its
portfolio.

It offers storage option for the Dynamics’ Hosted Exchange
mailboxes, relieves its MSP partners of the difficulties and risk
exposure of managing Outlook .pst files for email storage and
archiving. It also gives partners more control and flexibility in
managing email messaging data for clients and controlling costs
associated with storage quotas.

Locating and
managing .pst files for clients, generally created by users and
residing on their computers or network shares, can be a costly and
risky effort. Reliance on .pst files reduces organizational control
of data, increases discovery costs associated with lawsuits and
regulatory requirements, prohibits the application of retention
policies, and exposes data to theft. Personal Archiving gives access
to archive mailbox and reduces the risk exposures presented by .pst
files.

The service also
gives partners flexibility and cost control options in managing
messaging data for those clients who do not face compliance
requirements. For these clients, the Compliance Archiving service,
which requires storage of every incoming and outgoing email at an
offsite location, is not a cost effective option for the goal of
simply storing selected historical messaging data.

The service is being
launched on the heels of the company’s recent announcement of the
availability of Intronis’ cloud backup and recovery
service in the new VAR Dynamics Control Panel.
