VCEE in Partnership With Virsto
Netherlands-based company becomes distributor and reseller.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 20, 2012 at 3:10 pmVirsto Software Corporation, a
provider of VM-centric storage hypervisor software, announced its partnership
with Netherlands-based Virsto Centre of Expertise
Europe (VCEE).
VCEE, which takes on the role of both distributor and reseller in the
Netherlands, will strengthen Virsto’s sales strategy by providing tailor-made
workshops and hands-on training classes to support Virsto’s users in the
European market.
Virsto delivers VM-level storage management and integration with VMware
vSphere and Hyper-V for simplified management of VM storage,
up to 10x performance improvements, and a 90% reduction in storage capacity
consumption. Virsto delivers purpose built software-defined-storage with provisioning, management and utilisation of storage for
the software-defined datacentre.
The Storage Hypervisor is the ‘Missing Link’
in the Software-Defined Datacentre
The concept of the Software-Defined Datacentre (SDD) is gaining
recognition, as IT moves away from infrastructure traditionally defined by
hardware toward a more flexible infrastructure built around software and
dynamic allocation of resources. In the SDD, all virtualised storage, server,
networking and security resources required by an application can be defined by
software and provisioned. Virsto’s VM-centric storage
hypervisor is purpose built to deliver software-defined storage: the missing
link for storage agility, performance and efficiency to realise more agile IT.
Proven Virtualisation Expertise
A driver of Virsto and VCEE entering into partnership was the
success that VCEE’s sister company, Counsellor Implementations B.V., brought to
completion selling Virsto solutions in the Netherlands, both in government and
healthcare markets. VCEE will help local organisations to address any
performance challenges in their virtualised server environments and VDI in
particular. Virsto products will be matched with complementary backup and
recovery solutions, giving end users the best possible service and products
tailor made for their requirements.
"We are confident that working with
VCEE will strengthen our Netherlands end user relationships" said
Gregg Holzrichter, VP marketing at Virsto. "EMEA is an important market for Virsto and partnering with
organisations that have the technical aptitude and proven success in deploying
the Virsto Storage Hypervisor in Europe is a key element of our growth strategy
in the region."
Reinier Muller, CEO of VCEE, adds: "We
are ideally placed to complement Virsto’s channel in Europe. We will be working
with enterprises and SMEs to offer advice, support and complementary products.
The whole team is passionate about virtualisation technology and we strive to
continue to deliver outstanding results based on our deep technical knowledge
and innovative product portfolio."
