With cloud backup powered by Asigra
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 19, 2012 at 2:57 pmAsigra Inc. announced that Lincoln Archives, Inc. has opened
its new cloud backup sales and service center in Tampa, Florida.
Headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Lincoln Archives is a cloud service provider
(CSP) focused on data protection. The new location will
serve all Florida businesses concerned about losing business data during
severe tropical storms and hurricanes.
According to climatologists, hurricanes are a severe threat to Floridian businesses
and individuals alike during hurricane season, which lasts from June 1st to
November 30th. Florida is the state most likely to be struck by hurricanes
because of subtropical or tropical water spanning a lengthy coastline. It is
rare for a hurricane season to pass without any impact in the state by at least
one major tropical storm. In 2004, Florida was hit by a record 4 hurricanes
which cost the state $42 billion.
Founded in 1993, Lincoln Archives began as a records storage
company. In 2011, it partnered with Asigra and began operations
as a backup service provider and now delivers dependable, economical, safe and
secure cloud storage. The company’s services assist customers in overcoming the
bandwidth limitations and security risks of alternative approaches. Lincoln
Archives‘ services provide from secure online
backup and offsite protection of all business data to in-house backup
data replication to remote DR sites.
"This summer, Lincoln Archives
has expanded operations in Florida with the opening of offices in Tampa,
Florida," said William Palisano, president, Lincoln Archives. "Our decision to expand services to Florida
was definitely reinforced as I waded through water to get through a hotel lobby
during Tropical Storm Debby. The flooding along the coast was extensive and
many computing environments were destroyed."
"People and businesses definitely
need to back-up their data to a safe remote location to supplement any local
backups they are performing in order to ensure recovery," said Cindy
Campione, Lincoln Archives’ new backup and recovery solutions representative
for the Florida Market. "We provide
a secure and cost effective option for reliable data recovery in the event of a
catastrophic event."
"With the unpredictable nature of
severe weather events, Asigra Cloud Backup provides peace of mind in knowing
that business information will be recovered and accessible in the aftermath,"
said Tracy Staniland, senior director, corporate marketing, Asigra. "We are proud to partner with Lincoln
Archives and stand with them to deliver advanced data recovery to businesses
and organizations in Florida and beyond."
