Condre Storage Distributing Proximal Data

Proximal Data, Inc., provider of server-side caching solutions for virtualized
environments, has signed a distribution agreement with Condre Storage Inc., an IT solutions
distributor with a focus on enterprise storage.

Condre will distribute AutoCache, Proximal Data’s fast virtual cache software,
to 2,000 VARs across North America.

Proximal Data’s announced AutoCache software is effective at
eliminating I/O bottlenecks in virtualized servers to increase VM density. AutoCache works within a hypervisor and can increase VM density
up to three times with no impact on IT operations or requiring agents in guest
OSs. It places the hot I/O into a PCIe flash card or SSD in order to supply priority data traffic to all VMs. This increases VM density
and efficiency while minimizing system resource usage, enabling idle CPUs to
support more business applications. It is also integrated within VMware
management environments (vCenter, vSphere) and does not impact processes such
as vMotion.

The Condre and Proximal Data partnership will empower enterprise
customers to gain a greater ROI from their virtualization and storage
infrastructures. By deploying solutions that optimize I/O efficiency and
increase the number of VMs per physical system, enterprises will see a return through the amount of work those systems can accomplish.
