Ideal Systems Singapore Distributes Qualstar

Qualstar Corporation announced that Ideal Systems Singapore Pte ltd. has become an authorized
reseller for Qualstar’s XLS and RLS families of LTO tape
libraries throughout Asia.

Ideal Systems will integrate Qualstar tape libraries with XenData SX
Series of digital video archive solutions that work with media asset management (MAM) and broadcast automation, including Aveco, Avid,
Cinegy, Dalet, EVS, Harmonic, Evertz and more.

Qualstar RLS Expandable Rack Mount Libraries and XLS Enterprise Tape
Libraries can scale to store from 800 hours to over 200,000 hours of HD
content.

The RLS-8500 Rack Mount Libraries are user-expandable in less
than 15 minutes. The key to this new capability is FastPass, a design
that passes tapes between modules in under two seconds. It fits inside
the library cabinet, requires no additional power and is field installable by
the user. It merges two, three or four RLS modules into a single library storing up to 474 LTO cartridges and housing
up to 20 tape drives in one 19-inch rack.
