MaxTronic/Arena Rolls Out Maestro Enterprise Storage System

MaxTronic International Co. Ltd. released the Maestro series joining the Arena product lines.

It is a new RAID hardware platform for post and broadcast video production as well as enterprise data management.

Enterprise-class storage with performance and availability makes the Maestro series capable of satisfying demanding business and technical applications as well as virtualized environments.

Performance
The Maestro series is designed for performance with Intel Xeon dual core CPU and DDR III memory. These storage systems support connectivity interfaces including 8Gb FC and 10Gb iSCSI (coming soon) to hosts and 6Gb SAS disk interface, meeting the requirements of mission-critical operations. The IOPS is 5 times of the previous Nova series. Maestro-based solutions boost data throughput up to 5,000MB/s which is double the performance of other RAID solutions.

HA
HA hardware designs with redundant, hot-swappable hardware components including RAID controllers, power supplies and cooling fans to eliminate single point of failure. Featured with HA algorithm, firmware-embedded data protection functions, cache backup module (CacheGuard) to protect cached data during power outage, Arena Maestro series deliver availability which meet the challenges of modern and future IT and media environments.

Scalability and Flexibility
The modular design and easy to use management interface, scale up storage capacity to more than 240 drives to accommodate business expansion needs. The series support flexible drive types (2.5-inch or 3.5-inch, SAS or SATA, various size of HDDs or SSD) meet the needs for various applications requirement. The optional thin provisioning function helps to optimizes storage utilization and eliminates waste on unused storage space under allocation.
