For this project, Proact has implemented a solution consisting of a new disk system for primary storage, a disk system with deduplication for backup and a new virtual server platform at one of the company’s data centres. This project began in February 2012 and will be completed by mid-year.

Boss Media is a supplier of gaming and betting platforms for online gaming. The company develops and manages solutions for some online gaming sites. Swedish customers include Svenska Spels online poker platform.

"Our customers, and above all their end customers, expect full uptime and they maintain zero tolerance for stoppages. This means that reliability, performance and uptime in our IT environment are crucial to our business, and this is why we have chosen to update our IT environment together with Proact," says Cristian Brolin, head of IT at Boss Media.

Proact presented a solution which included a new disk system for primary storage, a disk system with deduplication for backup, and a virtualised server platform. And to enhance security in the system, all data stored is also mirrored to secondary storage units elsewhere in Europe.

"Boss Media operations handle vast amounts of data, but also extremely sensitive information in the form of customer details and transaction data. This has resulted in stringent demands being made of our solution in terms of data security, uptime and performance. The solution we have implemented at Boss Media gives the company a powerful, secure IT environment that will meet both existing and future requirements," says Martin Ödman, regional manager at Proact.
