(SVC) provides a combined hardware and software storage virtualization
system designed to centralize and consistently manage and operate
heterogeneous storage environments.
The SVC Solution can help:

IBM System Storage SVC models CG8 and CF8 offer two new drive types to
expand its line of 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF) drive options:
- 200GB 2.5-inch SSD (E-MLC)
- 400GB 2.5-inch SSD (E-MLC)
Key prerequisites
Existing feature number 4500 (solid state device attachment) is required
to install one or more SSDs (#4601, #4602, or #4604) on IBM System
Storage SAN Volume Controller Storage Engine Model CG8 or CF8.
