Sans Digital: VS001 Scalable Video Surveillance Appliance

Sans Digital is introducing a new product of Video Surveillance Appliance (VSA).

Build upon from mult-tiering VSA series for towers and rackmounts with computer digital tape support, the VS001 offer compact storage with up to 3TB.

It supports video life cycle management allowing customer to record high quality video and store it without restriction and manage it so that customer can find and play back any particular moment of interest. Designed and tested on the Sans Digital storage product family platform with embedded surveillance video lifecycle management software, this robust video surveillance solution provides flexibility and scalability that allows customer to ‘pay as you grow.’

The VS001 is a compact entry-level video surveillance appliance equipped with 1TB, 2TB, 3TB disk storage capacity.

It is capable of supporting up to four simultaneous recordings of RTSP enabled IP cameras. This includes multi-mega pixel cameras for the ability to record high definition video. Combined with standard features such as Automatic IP camera search utility and live video feed, the VS001 provides deployment right out of the box. The VS001 also provides video management searching capabilities via hundreds of added-metadata fields for IP cameras such as camera number, location, direction, case number, etc. The solution is capable of storing even years of video footage that can be accessed. Specify multiple search criteria to find that ‘needle in the haystack.’

Capable of simultaneous, recording, monitoring, search, and play back through a graphical interface, this professional-grade system stays vigilant with an ‘always on’ capability while providing affordable TCO video surveillance management solution.

There is no limit on the number of clients (PC or Mac) computers to simultaneously use live viewing on cameras or perform search and retrieving recorded videos. The network-like, unlimited client structures also allow to expand the storage capacity or camera support by adding a new VSA units.

Clients will be able to search all VSA units in the network at the same, eliminate limited storage capacity and limited cameras supports. Customers can also opt to upgrade to Light or Pro Edition via the upgraded license key for features such as: moving or copying video to different SD VSA units for data redundancy protection, creation of low resolution companion files for faster access, integration with Milestone, OnSSI and Lenel’s SkyPoint as storage expansion, and more.
