Secure File Sharing on Vaultize Online Backup

With iPad and iPhone

With the growing trend of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and Gartner forecasting every third tablet to be used within the corporate network by 2015, Vaultize, a product from Anoosmar Technologies, announced the availability of its secure file sharing feature on iPad and iPhone.

Last month, Vaultize had premiered its iOS app, using which an enterprise user can securely and easily browse, view and download files of his laptop or desktop from the Vaultize cloud, empowering him with anywhere anytime access to his data.

Now with the availability of sync feature in this app, users will be able to securely view and download the files shared with them by other users from their devices. The sharing happens in real time and changes are reflected within a few seconds.

"Tablets are becoming integral part of the corporate infrastructure. Any solution today cannot be successful in enterprise market without an appealing tablet strategy," said Anand Kekre – CEO and co-founder of Vaultize. "Vaultize is now extending its file sharing feature to iPads allowing users to access files shared by their colleagues in real time, while keeping everything under complete control of corporate IT in compliance with policies and regulations."

Vaultize is a backup solution doing both encryption and de-duplication together at source. While all cloud-based backup solutions perform encryption at the cloud server, it encrypts data at source before it leaves the device. In addition to backup and sync between user devices, Vaultize’s ‘Group Sync’ feature provides Dropbox-like file sharing and synchronization across users with ecurity, control and centralized administration.

Vaultize also offers deployment options, other than the default Rackspace hosting in the US to its enterprise customers. Enterprises can choose any other public cloud provider and any geographical location. Additionally they can choose to deploy Vaultize in their own private cloud, data center, in a virtual private cloud or go the hybrid way.

Businesses are charged flat fee per GB computed on the storage consumed in cloud – calculated post de-duplication and compression. There is no user, device or feature licensing.
