SolidFire With OpenStack

For all-SSD primary storage systems

SolidFire, provider of all-SSD primary storage systems for cloud service providers, announced its initial integration with OpenStack, the open source cloud operating system.

SolidFire’s integration as a supported Nova volume storage option for the Essex release highlights the important role of block storage within the OpenStack platform.

The company also announced its participation in the OpenStack Conference & Design Summit on April 16-20 in San Francisco. At the event, Dave Wright, SolidFire founder and CEO, will take part in the panel discussion OpenStack and Block Storage…Where to from here?.

"The past six months have been an exciting time for SolidFire and OpenStack," stated Wright. "Since the Essex Design Summit, we have been orienting ourselves with the community and its core projects. The ongoing OpenStack developments are an integral part of our success. Enabling SolidFire as a volume storage option within Essex is the first of many milestones, and we are looking forward to building on this integration in the Folsom release and beyond."
